Latin Line New Year Party Night (January 2012)
We had a fabulous New Year Latin Line Dance Party on Friday 20th January at Winnington Park Recreation Club. Non-stop dancing all night, and we even learnt a new Merengue routine too! A few very sore feet the following day!!!!
Christmas Dance (December 2011)
Everyone made a huge effort to sparkle at Winnington Park Recreation Club on Saturday 10th December. The dancefloor was a fusion of glitter, swirls and bow-ties all night! All our dancers dug deep to donate some amazing prizes (including 5 hampers!) to our Charity Raffle in aid of Barnardo's, and we raised a spectacular £335, a record fundraiser for us - well done everyone!
Halloween Dance (October 2011)
A spooky evening of dance was enjoyed by all on Saturday 29th October at Winnington Park Recreation Club. As you can see from the photos below, everyone made a huge effort to dress up for the occasion and, as ever, the dancefloor was packed all night! Our "guess the number of sweets" fundraiser made a spooktacular £140 which was donated to the BBC's Children in Need Appeal.
IDTA Northwest Ballroom & Latin Newcomers Competition - Oct 2011
We took 3 of our pupils to the IDTA Northwest Newcomers Ballroom & Latin Competition in Manchester on 9th October, and they came home with SEVEN 1st Places, and one 2nd! How fabulous is that?! Well done to Charlotte, Tom and Elinor - brilliant dancing!
End of Summer Term - Latin Line Party (July 2011)
The following photos were taken at our Party night for our Latin Line Dancers, held at Winnington Park Recreation Club on Friday 29th July. The dancing was non-stop all evening... and it was lovely to be able to socialise with fellow class members. We all learnt a brand new Mambo routine too, although it's questionable as to whether some will remember it!!!!
Awards Presentation (July 2011)
Here are a selection of photos taken at our Awards Presentation held on 16th July following the examinations on 22nd May. The children demonstrated their dances to family and friends, and received their awards from Amanda. What a lovely afternoon!
Summer Dance (July 2011)
Below are some photos taken at our Summer Dance on Saturday 16th July. The dancefloor was packed out all evening, and once again our pupils made it a brilliant night! We raised an amazing £200 with our "Roll the £1 coin at the bottle" fundraiser, the proceeds of which were donated to The Alzheimers Society in memory of Amanda's father-in-law who sadly passed away in March this year.
Awards Presentation (February 2011)
Here are a selection of photos taken at our Awards Presentation on 12th February, following our Examination Session held just before Christmas. More than 90 awards were taken, and again we achieved a 100% pass rate.
Valentines Dance (February 2011)
Below are a selection of photos from our Valentines Dance on 12th February. As you can see from the pictures, everyone did very well with our "wear something red or pink" theme. Some of our male pupils even donned pink sparkly tutus (make of that what you will, folks!).
Christmas Dance (December 2010)
Below are a few photos from our Christmas Dance held on 11th December. A wonderful evening of dancing was enjoyed by all, and everyone made a special effort to dress in Black Tie and Posh Frocks! Our raffle raised a whopping £255, the proceeds of which were donated to the local branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
